Why Defected: London’s biggest disco party returns to an undisclosed location this September for two jam-packed days of feel-good music. □ What we can expect in 2022: The lineup includes Artful Dodger, DJ Spoony, Arrested Development, Moodymann, David Harness and a ‘very special guest’. Held in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, this London music festival showcases an eclectic mix of music to make you feel good – including House, Soul, R&B, Garage and Disco. Why Beautiful People: Billed as ‘ the world’s friendliest party ’, Beautiful People is all about bringing people together under a shared love of music and the (fingers crossed) summer sun. Location: Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, Stratford. □ What we can expect in 2022: Headliners include Craig David, Faithless, Beverley Knight and the Lightning Seeds, with support from Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Huey Morgan and The Sugar Hill Gang. Even better? A whole host of pop-up restaurants – some even with Michelin stars – will be opening up for the event, so you can wine and dine your way through leafy Chiswick in between the music.
